Forge — Terms of Use

Effective 10 June 2026

The short version Forge is a workout tracker. The core app is free; Forge Pro is an optional subscription (or one-time lifetime purchase) billed through Apple. Forge isn't medical advice — train sensibly. Your data stays on your device, and nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

1. Agreement

Forge ("the app") is developed by the Forge team ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Forge you agree to these Terms of Use. Forge is distributed through Apple's App Store, so Apple's Media Services Terms and standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also apply to your use.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Forge on Apple devices that you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the app except where the law expressly permits.

4. Health and safety

Forge is a tracking and planning tool, not medical advice and not a substitute for a qualified health professional. Resistance training carries risk. Consult a doctor before starting a new program — especially if you have an injury, a medical condition, or are new to training — and stop and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness or anything abnormal. You train at your own risk, and you are responsible for using appropriate weights, equipment and technique.

5. AI-generated programs

Forge can format prompts for third-party AI assistants you choose to use (and may generate programs with rule-based logic on-device). AI output can be wrong. Generated programs are suggestions, not prescriptions — review them with your own judgment (or a professional) before training, and adjust anything that doesn't suit your body, equipment or experience. Your use of a third-party assistant is governed by that provider's terms.

6. Your data

Your training data lives on your device. Forge has no accounts and we don't collect, sell or share your data. Backups you export are files you own and manage. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture, including the optional Apple Health and AI-assistant handoffs.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Forge unlawfully, attempt to circumvent purchase entitlements, or interfere with the app's operation or other users' use of it.

8. Changes and availability

Forge is actively developed: features may be added, changed or retired, and we may update these terms from time to time (material changes will be reflected by the effective date above, and continued use means acceptance). We may discontinue the app or Pro features, giving notice where the law requires.

9. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge is provided "as is" and we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app — including training outcomes, injury resulting from your training decisions, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid in the previous 12 months.

Australian Consumer Law: our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees or any other rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
